Which made me think of a joke that was funny to me as a kid, when that song was released: What do you call Dolly Parton lying in a river? Islands in the stream.<br><br>Like you, I grow into people. The more time I spend with them, the more I like them. The more I like them, the more attractive they are to me.<br><br>The opposite is also true. I know some women who are physically flawless (almost), but they turn me off in some other way. That actually makes them less physically attractive to me.<br><br>That's an interesting dilemma for a man, by the way. I can't begin to tell you the mental turmoil associated with trying to rationalize a relationship with a "hot" woman who is a nutcase.<br><br>I once heard that men learn to love the women they are attracted to, while women learn to be attracted to the men they love. That has seemed generally true in my own experience.<br><br>Inner and outer beauty are interesting attributes.
